Tents! Water-proof or Water-resistant

Is the tent that you purchased to use when you sell outdoors water-proof or water-resistant? BIG DIFFERENCE!

What some of you may not realize is that many of the tents and canopies are sold to provide shade, not rain cover. Imagine my surprise and dismay when it started raining inside my EZ Up! (After the rain stopped, we actually had to pull our tables out of the tent until it stopped dripping. LOL)

The solution was to spray the top of the tent with some water-proofing product. The question was which one? While talking to other vendors, I was told that some had to reapply the water-proofing spray after each rain. Obviously, I wanted something that would work better than that! So, I began researching products that were designed to waterproof and discovered that different products are made for different types of fabric. The product that I finally selected did mention EZ Up in their product description so I felt reassured that I was buying the right product.

The product I purchased was Granger’s Tent & Gear UV Waterproofing.

I needed two 33.8 oz to cover the top of the EZ Up and we used a weed sprayer to spray the product on. (Clean sprayer well before and after using the waterproofing product). The product says it will not yellow… it does a bit. But it did work.

If anyone has another water-proofing product that worked well for them let me know.
